ON RAMP aims to expose new athletes to the 9 fundamental movements used in CrossFit and to develop the skills which will be vital in the athlete success in CrossFit. Our On Ramp coaches will prepare new athletes to enter the CrossFit session with the knowledge and abilities to confidently carry out all prescribed movements safely and efficiently.
The 9 fundamental movements of CrossFit are:
- The Squat
- The Front Squat
- The Overhead Squat
- The Press
- The Push Press
- The Push Jerk
- The Sumo Deadlift High Pull
- The Deadlift
- The Medicine Ball Clean
These basic movements are just the start. Our coaches will also provide foundational training for athletes related to:
- Conditioning Skills Using Kettlebells
- Stability Skills Using Gymnastic Movements
- Strength Training Through Olympic Lifting Techniques, Including:
- The Clean
- The Clean and Jerk
- The Snatch
- Plyometric Skills, Such as:
- Box Jumps
- Jump Rope Work
All these and many more skill and techniques will be covered in the ON RAMP.
Each ON RAMP course will start and finish with the CrossFit benchmark WOD. We guarantee you will see a significant improvement in your performance from your first session to your last.
